steering column switch
I switching my steering column out for one that has the steering wheel controls on it. I have an '88 T/A and the column is from the same year. I looked in the service manual and it looks like 3 bolts at the firewall and 2 bolts underneath the dash is all it takes. Is there any special precautions or tricks to doing this? I just don't want to mess anything up.

Thats a big job, and a real pain in the rear because of the working room (Or lack of) Not something I would want to tackle hence why when I recently broke my steering column in another GM vehicle of mine, I took it to a shop to have done and just paid them to perform the headache. There is hardly anything I don't do to my own cars- but thats one I would pass on. That and a heater core replacement.

I only want to do the intermediate shaft, not the whole column. I did a little more looking and it looks like there is a nut and bolt that holds the intermediate shaft onto the rest of it. Is this nut and bolt that hard to get to? Is this really that difficult?
