Has anyone noticed or heard of lost passenger side engine k-member bolts?
I noticed the rear was gone and the front was lose but being held up from the front brake line. The nuts must be down in the frame as Im **** out of luck till I get some grade 8 bolts and lock nuts.(Stock are metric)
Any comments welcome!

What ever it takes to get them back into there. I will only say that they are in fact there for a reason and I would not drive it until you fix the problem, It makes the car unsafe with the missing mounting bolt.

This is a common problem. You will need to use metric bolts as the nuts are captive. Here is a pic of that area.
There is another thread on this topic that has this same pic and lists the bolt sizes. I searched for it and can't find it. If you can find that thread it would be helpful. IIRC several folks went to the local recycle yard and retrieved original bolts. And found that many cars had one or more missing.
RBob.

Thanks RBob,
I have had the rear bolt missing for quite awhile and I have decided to go to a tubular K-member in my drag car, but I was curious because I have 2 bolts intact on my street car but I am missing the one back bolt on it. I know what metric bolt that is and I can pick one up but I just thought it was wierd that it was on the passenger side since the cars torque to the right and you'd think the left side would be the ones coming loose?? Thanks again.
