Steering wheel seem loose

Steering wheel seem loose
OK heres my question I have a 88 irocz with the adjustable steering wheel which I beleive most came with. Well my question is this when grabbing the steering wheel there in some play with being able to move the steering wheel up,down,left,and right somewhat. What is up with this?
