What Rims??
I was going to user a spacer but the owner of the tire rack told me that was a bad idea. Then, my stock wheels dont look so good so I am trying to figure out what aftermarket rims fit stock on my car (86 z28). Could someone just list as many wheels as they can that dont require anything like spacers? Any info in great, thanks.

Just search as many wheel websites as you can find, look at the wheels you like and then look at the specs. You need a 5 on 4.75 inch lug pattern (120.65mm), and a 0 to +6 offset for a stock fit. You can use spacers, but I wouldn't use them on the rear if you have a lot of torque.
It can be a frustrating search, but it's your car so it's worth the time.

That will work. Most wheels now have a +30 to +45 offset, so they will all require spacers. I'll tell you it's tough finding wheels with our offsets, but they're out there.

If you go with a wider rim (like say **x10),on the back, where you did have a 15x7, would you need to have a different backspacing so that the tire doesn't stick out past the edge of the car?
[edit] Another question, what do you guys think an appropriate backspacing would be for a tire this size? and also what would be the appropriate backspacing for a **x8 [edit]

Whats the difference between spacers and adaptors? Hawks said that the Zr1's will fit a Camaro without any of those I thought so how does that work. It says "These 17 x 8" ZR-1-style wheels were specifically designed to fit 1982-1992 F-Bodies without spacers or other modifications." So how about theese wheels for my 86z? http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...?v=1&pid=13964

spacers are like a big washer thats thick to take up the space difference needed to fill the gap.adapters do the same and have the new studs in them and they get bolted to your hub by its own studs. goto www.wheeladapters.com

Well thats what I assumed but I still cant understand why I would need to use spacers or adapters with the Zr1's I have in the link above. It says they fit without any modifications to third gen Camaros and they are only 17 by 8.

ROH Snypers are a direct bolt on, there relativley cheap, and they look awsome.
Here's my car with 17x8's in the front and 17x9's in the rear.

If you click on the sponsor above (G&T Fibreglass) and go view the customer rides, scroll down to a black TA. It has those rims on, although I think they look like 16s. Hope that helps you decide.
