torq thrust 2 question, please help!
I've already searched but couldn't find the answer I was looking for so here it goes. I found a good deal on the 9.5" TT2's so I bought them but they have a 4th gen offset which is 7 inches. What size adapters would you recommend? People say that they run 5.5" backspacing all around with these wheels normally but some people say 5.25 is better for the front? The tires are 275-40-17 btw.
So if I get adapters, they would have to be 1.5" all around, or 1.5" back, 1.75 for the front? Which combo would be better?
thx for your help in advance.

well get a 2 inch adaptor for the rear or a 4th gen rear and for the front , get 5.5 and worst case you could use a 1/4 slip on spacer if they rubbed the tie rods.
wouldn't a 2" for the back be too much? Remember these are 9.5 inch wide rims, not 8 inch ones that are common on 4th gens cause I know to adapt to 4th gen rims they require 2" spacers.
I guess a 1.5" for the front sounds good cause I could get the quarter inch spacer just incase the tie rods do rub like you said.
I also forgot to mention that my car sits at stock ride height if that helps.

2" should be right cause 4th gen rears are 2" wider on each side than our rear ends if I remember right. It doesn’t really matter the width cause guys on this board that have 17x11 ZR1's run 2" adapters. I would not recommend using a spacer especial on that’s 1/4"!

i think your better off selling them (for a bit more if you got a good deal) and using that money to buy the correct offset. Spacers are a bad idea. Plus 9.5" with 4th gen offset doesnt look deep (you need 11"). But 9.5" look killer with a thirgen offset. Makes a big difference

what is the thirdgen offset with tt2s. i know in the back the backspacing is 5.5 but what is the offset in mm. also i thought most people were running with a 4.5 in backspacing on the fronts with 17x8s.

We have a 0mm offset. I think max is like 6-8mm without having to use spacers. And 5.5bs is on a 9.5" wide wheels I believe.
I ordered adapters from skulte. Went with 5.25" backspacng in the fronts and 5.5" in the backs. Chevyken went with this setup and he said he had no problems. The only thing I might have to do it grind a little metal off the front struts to clearance the wheels but we'll see when they get here. I'll post pics.
