im either gonna order cragar ss wheels or torq-thrust 2 wheels

either way i wanna run 275 on a 16 inch rim
or something just a lil wider basicly what im asking is whats the iwdest tire i can run without rubbing or lil mods. and what width is the rim i have to use for that tire width.

have you found someone that still makes a 275/50/16 or 275/45/16 tire?

I would be hesitant when ordering tires that wide. You may need to modify your wheel wells. The 245 50 16's I have on mine already make the car have a poor turning radius, but then again, tires that wide would be nice for driveabiliry handling.

tires that wide will fit, but again, where are you guys finding tires wider then 255/50/16's? the only ones that I know of at all are some road race only tires that you wouldn’t want to run on the street and the occasional 295/50/16 which is going to be too tall to fit easily

A 305 is going to be about the biggest u will fit under the car without some modifications. You should buy 17's they are not that much more than 16's and they look a lot better. Plus with 17's u have a wide range of brands and sizes to choose from. Buy the 17's and u could run a 295 or a 305 on a 9.5 rim. Depending on what back spacing u get u might have to roll the fender lip if the tires stick out. But thats pretty easy.

And just for reference when i had my 9.5's on the back i ran 275-40-17's and they measued 11.5 inches across. Thats a fair amount of tire. I would recommend the 275's or the 295's for the 9.5.
