What #s are our 3rd gens pulling ?
I realize this is a VERY vague question, but I was just wondering... given I got good springs, shocks, and tires, SFCs, and maybe some LCAs and a panhard bar, what kind of handling would I be looking at?
Like, what car could I compare it to? What kind of slalom speeds or skidpad #s could I expect? 60-0 or 80-0 brake times?

stock, i think a freight train has better 60-0 times
i want to say a ws6 car is in the neighborhood of .92 skidpad
. i know dean whatever he goes by nowadays did some very impressive numbers 1.12 maybe?

Um... why would it stop bad? LOL. Just get good tires and pads... these cars arent all exactly massively heavy, afterall. 3200 isnt excessive. EBC greens and good tires, with either restored or performance aftermarket suspension should be nice and short.
.92 seems pretty damn good btw... I just wonder what a slalom would be with some good springs and shocks!

my stock brakes kinda suck unless really warmed up well, and the car has been running for a while...not sure if thats suppose to be
i got adjustable shocks set kinda stiff, with eibach prokit and fulda extremo tires which are very soft (tread ware of like 160-180 i think) with panhard bar
thing feels solid on turns and even transistion turns back to back. cant wait to get my LCA's/brackets on and get a wonder bar/sway bars
oh and once i get sub frame connectors too.. i dont have them yet!
should really stiffen things up

Yeah I hated my stock brakes too. Pads make a difference, but single-piston calipers with tiny pads on 10.5" rotors can only do a certain amount when you don't have any rear braking power and you have a 3400lb car (stock weight for upper optioned cars, especially the heavier birds).
I'll tell ya though, upgrading to dual-piston calipers on 13" rotors makes a HUGE difference
Handling is pretty decent but can be made much better with new parts. Poly bushings are cheap and make a big difference, as do WS6 swaybars if you don't have them. After that, get a good set of shocks/struts and new springs. Then start replacing all of the weak stock stamped-steel parts like the panhard bar and lower control arms. Make sure your steering is in tip-top shape as well if you want to have exact responsiveness.

I am runnung suspension techniques sway bars, hotchkis lower control arms. Spohn adjustable torque arm and adjustable panhard bar, Poly bushings throughout the intire car, Custom 3x3 subframe connectors with floor nothched out, Eibach pro kit springs, Wonderbar, Quick ratio box, and kumho ECSTA MX tires.
I puled 1 g on the skid pad. As for braking the stock drums make stopping from high speeds scary.

Mods, I know this is the suspension board, but brakes dovetail into this, please dont delete this post!
Ok um...any reccomendations for bang/buck upgrades? Would 1LE stuff be good or should I go for some aftermarket kit?
Furthermore, because brakes help handling on corner entry... any track guys have experience with what I should shoot for to get some good responsiveness, besides just getting the right tire and pad choice for my a-x, track, or back-road blasts, set proportioning right, etc.
Edit: Argh, almost forgot to put this in. I notice one post said the transitive behavior was pretty good - what kind of slalom performance can we expect? And how can you somehow lighten the rear axle for better transitive behavior?
