18 X 9 rim, any issues??
18 X 9 rim, any issues??
Hi all,
Just wanted to know if there are any fitment issues with putting 18x9 rims on my '87 Iroc. The car has been lowered in the front 1". The rims I am looking at are direct fit so no need for spacers. Any limitations on size or width of rubber that can go on them. I want to be able to keep the dust shields up front and have no rubbing issues.
Thanks for the help

Rubbing shouldn't be a problem provided that you don't go too big on the tire and that the wheels have the proper backspacing.
You should be able to measure to see how tall of a tire you can get.

keep the tire dimensional to stock specs and your backspacing appropriate and they will be fine. if you were to run coilovers or airstruts you'll start to run into issues only then.
