Need some help w/60' times

Need to get some professional advise on suspension setup for my 89 TTA. I run mid 11's with crappy 60' in the 1.6-1.8 depending on track prep. Completly stock suspension all the way around. Dot slicks on stock rims. used to run 1.55 short times on well prepped track. Best to date with new combo is 1.59 sideways out of the hole.

Goal:

Drive to track(10min) not worry about track prep and get a good 60' which will result in a low 11 high 10 car with further tuning.

Lemme know what results you have had with your modded suspension.

Thanks
Bo

What mods should I do first? I only want to do one at a time and take a few passes with each mod.

Thanks

First mod would be the struts/shocks. then when more money is available do the trick springs. It would be best to do them all at once for the total package and since you'll have the front end torn apart anyhow.

After that if your running the stock rear end go for some LCA relocation brackets. The stock torque arm will still handle it so would make that one of the last mods since that's kinda pricey, but think the other things will net you what your looking for.

Another cheap mod would be installing an air bag in the pass side to help prevent body roll. An anti roll bar would be the best option, but also a pricey option. This way both tires are getting somewhat equal pressure planted into the track.

What do you consider a good 60'? there's a local guy that is running consistent 1.5's in his TTA with basically a stock suspesion and 245/50/16 Nitto DR's

Thanks for such good info IHI

Crossfire, depends on track prep, fueling, tires, timing, ect. ect.

Been running this car for a while now at the track and finally started putting out some HP. Just need to get it to the ground.
Last setup netted consistant 1.5x's New turbo/converter and tranny kills the tires out of the hole. I can foot brake 1.5-1.6's blowing the tires away. I also have a boost controller that helped spool up even faster. My 1/8 is 7.20's-7.30's@95-96mph with 60's mentioned above.

My goal's are 6.9's @ 100mph 1/8 and 1.4's w/ more boost and tuning.I know the 1.4's are there....I just need to use the wasted energy and get traction.Times will come into play after that. Then I will work on MPH.
