Coilover spring rate??
Well,
It will see some street use, but not normal street conditions at all. It is mainly a track car, but I may need to get to the occassional street race.
It is a stock front end body, all metal is there. It has a tubular k-member and a-arms with no sway bar. Metal hood, iron engine / heads. The A/C and air systems are gone. No accessories but the alternator and water pump. I'm not sure how much weight is out of it, but the rest of the body is totally stock - no lightening.
You think 10" X 2.5" X 175lbs. will be ok? It has Lakewood 90/10's also. I called QA1, but they said they had NO IDEA! HA!

honestly? no i don't think it will be ok. i had severe lightening on the car to run that low of a weight. aluminum enginge setup with every delete possible. aluminum and fiberglass everything. what wasn't that was chromoly and i still wouldn't recommend it if your going to drive on the street much which if your street racing sounds like you'll need a better street setup then most.
i'd at least try 225+. i had 200 on the last try and it was good but i probably would have went a little stiffer. 250 was way to stiff but i had alot of weight removed. the 150's i have aren't bad but you would need a specialized strut to handle it and on the street it's pretty loose. however if your running no sway bar at all you have a completely different setup which i hope works out for you but i see it being uncomfortable on the street if you stay that low of a weight spring and sit at stock weight.
unfortunately the setups are two completely different to give you accurate advice. i definately would go up on the weight of your spring though.

That weak of springs and no swaybar = SCARY on the street at any kind of speed. I'd go with like 225s like what Kandied is saying.

I'm sure that I'm lighter than factory by a hundred or so pounds (whatever an air conditioning system, k-member, a-arms, air system, battery, wiring reduces it down to). I sent out for a set of 250's, so we will see how they work I guess.
