I had some chirping sounds awhile back. Like you said it wasn't constant at first, then after awhile it became constant. I replaced the U-joints and the problem was gone. Try the U-joints, their cheap and easy to replace.

If you are going to replace them yourself and they are the factory U-joints with the Teflon nipples you will need to heat the Teflon until it drains out before you go beating the old U-joints out.
If not, it shouldn't cost no more than $40-$60 for a lacal shop to do it for you.

I’ve got a twisted axle in mine and that causes the rear caliper to move relative to the backing plate as the tire goes around causing a squeaking like that. Sometimes it almost goes away, sometimes it does it all the time, but most of the time it’s just a once in a while thing, sounds just like brake pad wear indicators but doesn’t act the same.

ok

Well I'm still bringing the car back to the dealership when things pop up.. since I figured sure I can do it myself but.. WHY .. if they can pay for getting it done ya know... the mroe I can save on parts the better... saves me money that I'll eventually need for damn tires
