is there any one on this forum , who could post up a diagram, showing detail of all the rear end parts for my 91 R/S camaro..
i have just gottin this ride, and when i got it up on the jack I saw someone had replaced something in the rear. only on drivers side in the rear its like a lil bar going latteral with red poly urathane bushings on itright next to the wheele,, im not talkin bout the traction bar...i just dont know the name of what im talklin a bout
the other side looks good prob why they did not replace it .. but i sure would like to know what it is

 

if it goes diagonal from one end to the other, it's the panhard bar.

 

If it's only a little bar then it might be the rear sway bar (or the link from the sway bar to the body, but that's vertial not lateral).

Great stuff found it one day by accident. Great diagrams even though there replacement parts are crap. They have all kinds of step by step instructions too. Not very detailed kinda like a haynes manual, but for a quick ref it helps.

 

He's talking about the sway bar end links.

 

that is what i am talking about thank you for the diagram that helped a lot , now my original question was ,,,,,,,,,,, when i bought the car and looked it over i noticed that in the rear on the left side some one had replaced the sway bar end link... now i am noticing that i have to correct the stearing a lot at speeds over 40mph,,,,,,,,, is this the cause of some one replacing the end link and not alining the rear ??????????????

 

No, one swaybar endlink should not affect your steering at speed. Also you can not align the rear end on a stock F-body.

I would look for worn front-suspension pieces and have you car's alignment checked at a shop.

 

hey guys i have a 91 trans am i am building into a drag car its a t top but i look under the rearend and i see things missiong all i have holding my axel on is the shocks and springs....please someone post a diagram or something to show me what i need to get it back the way it needs to be

 

Post pictures of the front and back of the diff and we'll tell you what's missing.

Can't see anything. Either facebook is screwed up or won't display to non members.

 

Panhard bar and the traction bar(s) are missing. I think I saw a few missing brake lines too, but couldn't really tell. Oh and your gas tank.

 

lol i dont need a gas tank its goin to be a drag car i have a fuel cell inside the car...thanks again and if you notice anything else please let me know
