power steering works and doesnt work

power steering works and doesnt work

at idle the power steering doesnt work but if i hit the gas jsut a lil
it works perfect what can make it do that?

under drive pullies will exacerbate this condition, but honestly, it's pretty normal. my car does it, and i have all new steering parts.

Bad alternator? Is your voltage rather low at idle, then shoots up when you hit the gas? Sounds like its a voltage problem.

what the hell does the alternatr have to do with power steering? unless the bearing is siezing or freezing up randomly, it won't affect power steering at all.

thanks for all the help
the way that it got broken was me and some of my friends were making fun of how slow it was its a 2003 gmc envoy and i was like it probably wont even do donuts
well it turns out it does good but with the wheel all the way right and revving it to about 6000rpm holding in first it isnt good for it
but i got it fixed now so thanks
