Continental ContiExtremeContact

Has anyone used these continental contiextremecontacts?

From tirerack

They are on sale for $89 a piece now. Does anyone know how often tirerack changes their specials?

I am looking for a realitively cheap (>110 a piece) all season tire, as it will see an inch or two of snow a few days a year. It needs to be much more performance than my 225/60/16 Eagle GT II. Also I need some decent wear as I am starting college this year which means a 30 mile commute each day.

The other tires I am looking at are:
Avid H4s/V4s $95
Goodyear Eagle GT-HR $88
Avon Tech M550 a/s $96

I scored my toyo proxes 4's(ultra high performance all season tires) from a local guy for about $95-100 a piece. but he has a website that leads me to believe that he'll ship them out.

www.new-treads.biz

If you cant get ahold of him, let me know and i'll find his cell phone number.

My stepdad had those on his SpecV (yea yea, import but it weights 3200lbs) in the 17" variety. They didnt alst very long, and didnt have nearly the traction of his new g-sports.

I have those tires on my TL-S 215-50-17 size.

They are good in the snow and certainly better than the tires you have on there now. They do have soft sidewalls though (good ride).
