Seems that 14.5 p.s.i. is the magic number for most third gens, at least its a good starting point. It would be best to experiment though. I usually do a good burn out, and roll out of it. I never do a dry hop either. Then bring you engine up against the converter. I go as far as I can before the car wants to move foward. Hold those brakes hard. Wack it on the last amber. Keep an eye on the tire pressure, as sunlight directly on a tire will increase its pressure. In the staging lanes give the tires one more quick check. BTW, a 1.90 60ft. is not too shabby for a near stock car. What do you all have done to your car anyway?

well i have headers exahust underdrive pullys afpr and airfilters i also have a 2200 stall with a tci rebuild and a shift kit but in street tires i was pullin 1.95 60 ft but now 1.90 i give it a good burn out but this time i guess ill bring it up to the stall limits and see what happens and ill also sit up against the steerin wheel to hold the **** outta the brakes

Yes, I would give that a try. I just might help. Like I said, just experiment. Then you can work on your shift points.

Another trick too that works for some cars, sit there at an idle till the last amber. You worried about car performacne, not driver R/T performance, some cars like getting a run at the convertor, especially in footbraked car, just one more thing to try while your playing
