steering shake....
steering shake....
at idle or slower speeds my steering wheel shakes really bad. there is no play in the steering at all, just a bad shake.
could it be the box? it has about 135,000 miles on it. never been opened up or adjusted.
i have a lsx swap, could it be the stock ls1 pump is bad? or not able to supply enough pressure?
at highway speeds, or anything about 30 mph is perfect. just low speeds or stopped at a light it shakes.
any ideas

Wha??? Open underneath the hood and see where the shaking is starting. I'm betting it will be the intermediate shaft going into the steering box. Does it do it when the wheels are at a full lock on either direction or when you try to turn it at a stop? My only guess is something is wrong with the PS pressure and/or the hoses from an LSX swap. Does the pump make any noise?

From a dead stop it does it, does it go away with higher RPMs or a least lessen, like if you were to rev the engine at a stop. Or is the vibration relative only to vehicle speed and not engine.
