What rattles did SFC's eliminate?
Everyone praises them as "I wish I did them first" sort of thing. So they also say it eliminated all of my rattles and squeaks. So which are eliminated and what are still present?
Here's my list of annoying rattles:
1) Driver t-top, no matter how much I adjust it, rattles find there way back
2) When going over bumps or up driveways, the whole car "creaks"
3) Driver door is never quiet, always something inside rattling.
4) Center console, shifter and e-brake handle
5) Dash sometimes
Anything I missed?

I can't say what the sfcs help, but as for the t top... On mine, the thing that rattled was the clips on either end of the locking bar. Look like c clips, under the plastic trim on both ends of the locking bar. I used a folded tiny piece of paper as a wedge, wedged it partway around the clip to keep it from jiggling and then wrapped tape around the whole thing to keep the paper wedged in. Zero t-top rattles now.

I just want to hear what rattles it did stop. That's all I want. I know it won't stop all of them, that's why I asked which ones do SFCs eliminate.

Less creaking when the body's trying to twist like when going into driveways or over speed bumps. They just make the car feel more "solid".
Door rattles are a different story. There was a post somewhere a while back where a guy pulled the door panels and isolated every noise he found.
For the other rattles, learn to live with them. Thirdgens make lots of noises

Car: 1987 Black IROC-Z (SOLD)
1987 Camaro IROC-Z orignal owner and installed welded on Spohn Tube type SFCs about four years ago and they were the best Mod I made and I made a few of them. The car is better now then when it was new 18 yrs ago. People are amazed after riding in it how solid and rattle free it is. Also, I still have the origmal Bilstien Struts & Shocks.
So you can talk all you want about what they do. But in my opinion install the SFCs and check the results for yourself.
