wonder bar

What is the point of a adjustable wonder bar? Will it matter if the car is lowered or not?

So you can say you have one? Its just to help support the frame rails from cracking.

No, i don't have one but the adjustable one is more cash than the non adjustable. So i was wondering if it mattered or not.

You can pre-load the front end with one to achieve a desired set-up. If you are not an all out racer where minute adjustments are necessary than stick with a non adjustable unit.

part way through '82 the bolt holes changed.

The TDS wonderbar claims to fit all years, due to a swiss cheese looking mounting tab.
I'm making my own for my '82.

I think that's a bunch of crap. Some racers don't even have wonderbars, but one would probably help. An adjustable wonder bar is just an appearance option for someone who wants another line in a mile long signature.

Given the chance, I'd buy the TDS again if I couldn't find a stock one again.

before hunting junkyards for a stock one keep in mind that the TDS wonderbar has three mounting bolts instead of just two
