Winter tire sizing
Hey guys, I recently picked up a couple 225/55/R16s. The tires are stock GM goodyears in good condition. (Got them for free.
) I wanted to fit some smaller tires on the front of the T/A to get better steering in the rain anyway. After some searching I have read that the 225s will fit on the 16x8 rim, but my concern now is that the 225s will have better wet traction than the 245 Kuhmo Ecstas in the rear, and I might spin out when it rains. Any thoughts?

i don't see how having only the two rear tires sliding is worse then having all 4. at least you would still be able to steer.

My concern is that in a turn, the back wheels will let go and slid the car sideways facing me into oncoming traffic or another car. Atleast when the front tires lose it, I'll go straight.
