Borg Worner 3.27 9 Bolt

I need help and advise as I am in over my head on this one. The problem started after I did a power slide / U TURN. After that little manuver I have a loud thud sound coming from the rear of the car along with a grinding sound. I have checked the tranny and u-joints. Then I saw gear oil on the right backing plate pulled all of that apart to find axle seal leaking. So this brings me to my quistion, How do I get the retaining clip off of the end of the axle ??None of my manuels cover this ?/ HELP

To remove the axles on a 9-bolt you un-bolt the 4 bolts that hold the bearing retainer plate. Then you can pull out the axle. The bearings are pressed on and have a pressed on bearing retainer. You have to cut them off with a Dremel tool or air die grinder and an abrasive blade. You'll need a shop press to press the new bearings and bearing retainer bushings on.

He about covered it, I doubt that it had anything to do with the "agressive driving"

Check this link. It has the part numbers for the new wheel bearings and seals you'll need and much more info.
