replaced endlinks with tire on

Believe or not, I replaced my endlinks this past weekend with the tire on the car and just jacking the car a few inches to get the top of the sway bar on the bolt. It sounds retarded, and it was, but I didn't have the right lug to get my tire nuts off, and I was really eager to get the old ones off, they're pretty bad, so to get them done I just turned the wheel all the way, sawzawed the old bolts, and popped in the new ones. It was really awkward and tricky holding the sawzaw underneath the car and behind the tire, but whatever. Its done and its great. I was about to drop $600 on new struts, shocks, springs, to try n fix the horrible handling and braking and get rid of noise. The $4.99 a piece endlinks (autozone) got rid of the noises, extremely tightened the steering, and GREATLY improved braking. Goshdang.

Thirdgens love their swaybars. Good endlinks are a must.

All you really have to do is drive the front or back up on ramps and take off links. Loosen up the front sway bushings a tad so you have get the links in good and perfect then tighten everything up. Few minute job if its not rusty

My links were horribly rusted. I'm saying the sleeve and washers look like one piece, and feel like one piece. I was bashing at them with a small sledge, soaking them with rust penetrator, and nothin. Cutting wus my only option.
