Still gonna rub with Pro-Kits??
I just got a set of the Eibach Pro-Kits and the rears are progressive rates (duh). I was wondering if someone could explain how that works.
I have a 4th Gen rear under my car now and it is wider than the factory. So, it rubs the tires on the underside rim of the wheel well. I wanted to make sure that it won't do that with the Pro-Kit. The right side on the factory springs sets at 27.25", the left at 28". Shouldn't the stiffer Eibachs keep the rear from dropping so much?

What you mean by underside rim of the wheel well is the "lip" that people roll using a baseball bat? or am I wrong, cause I don't know the official term for that either. Switching springs will probably not cure the rubbing, maybe rolling the fender well "lip" , "rim", "whatever" or banging the spring "pocket" with a big hammer? I've done both since running a variety of different wheel/tire combos' over time. Currently running a 4thgen rear, pro kit, and C5 wheels, this combo rubbed on the spring pocket area until I cut it out. I had already rolled the fender "lip" so I can't say if that would have been a problem area.

I'll roll the lip after I get it back. It only rubbed sometimes, when I have it pretty loaded with full tank of gas. I hope the stiffer springs keeps it from rubbing. If not, then I'll do more. The car sets only about a 1/4 of an inch higher with the stock springs than it will with the Pro-Kits, so with the much stiffer springs, I should be in the clear with the factory wheels... I hope.

I got the springs in. They don't have as much bounce as the stockers. They are a little harsher on serious bumps, but the road ride is better/smoother. Overall, I like them. They lowered the car, but only slightly. About 1/4 inch rear, 3/8 give or take in the front. Haven't had it loaded yet, so I don't know about the rubs...

I have the combo end (poly bushing/ rod end) PHB. That was my first suspension mod. I need to adjust it now. My rear is a little of center. Plan on getting the LCAs and SFCs next.
