wtf is up with these springs
I just put one of my new intrax 2 inch drop springs in the drivers side. This was my result

Needless to say it looks like crap. My wrangler sits this far from fender to tire. I made sure the end of the spring was between the two holes in the groove of the a-arm. Any ideas?

Isnt that a jack stand under the car.If your asking why it sits so high. The springs have to settle before the front end will drop.If you can, drive it a couple of miles & you'll see a big change.

If you open the higher res version of his thumbnail pic, the jack stand is in the foreground, and not supporting the car.
I'd start by checking to see if the upper end of the spring is correctly seated in the pocket. If it's hung up somehow on the locating bump, it'd make at least a couple inches of difference, IIRC.
If that's not the problem, I'd suggest you call Intrax with the spring measurements (i.e. free length, coil diameter, wire diameter, and number of coils) to confirm that you actually have the right springs.

I'm pretty sure it's just not seated in the pocket. Here's a photo of the spring next to the one I pulled of

I'm not sure if the old spring was stock or not. Was just wondering if anyone could tell me. I has a yellow sticker/tag on it in pretty good shape that says bzw. The sticker is highlighted in the picture.

Sounds stock to me.
Although things varied a bit from year to year, BZW wouldn't be surprising. I've also seen IROCs with BZX's, which are one notch stiffer.

The spring just wasn't seated. I took the wheel back off, threw the spring compressor back in, readjusted the spring so it sat in the well and not on the locating hump. Looked great. Came out the next morning and couldn't believe the springs had settled another 3/4". There's only 4.5 inches between the front ground effects and the ground. It was only supposed to be a 2 inch drop but it looks to be between 2.75" and 3". Looks good to me though. I'll post up some photos once I get some daylight.
