car shakes at 50 and higher

my cars been doing this for quite a while and thought it was the tires, so replaced those and it still does it.
Once i get to 50 mph, and higher, the car starts shaking, it feels like its coming from the front drivers side, ive checked to see if anything is loose and cant find anything
anyone ever had this happen or have an idea what it might be

Driveshaft is a very very very common problem. The higher speeds with a slightly unbalanced driveshaft will shake the car. A lot of people switch to alluminum; seems to fix it.

I've seen in other posts that you swapped tranny's and the shaft that was in the car could be 180 degrees out. Undo it from the rear end and turn it 180 and reinstall. If this doesn't fix the problem then check the u-joints otherwise a new shaft could be your only fix. Food for thought.

could also be a bent rim, rotate the L to R side and see if that fixes it. If you have unidirectional tires you will have to have a tire shop check that out.

Sounds to me like the u joints are shot on the driveshaft. I would check them first since they are alot cheaper.

i replaced the u joints last year when i replaced the clutch. the drive shaft being off 180 is something i never knew or thought about.
how would i know if the u joints are bad?
and im praying to *** its not a bent rim cus they werent cheap.

If you just replaced the u-joints, then try turning it 180 at the rear end. Then take it for a drive and post the results.
