Strut Mount Problems

Came out to my car to do an oil change and found the strut mount like this. I had the car aligned a year or so ago when I lowered it. No accidents or anything. Is this just caused by loose bolts? You can see where it should be from the dirt marking.

It okay to just loosen and reposition?

Prolly wasnt tight enough and worked loose going thru a pot hole or something.

Slide it back and if it doesnt pull, it'll be fine.

That's what I figured. Went ahead and put it back in the old location. The actual housing seems to be a little bit bowed up; that alright as well?

strut mount

I agree with justin but if you are still spooked by it you can buy the upper strut mounts in a pair for $20 used plus shipping, I just bought a pair for that same price I quoted. As a matter of fact
I'll sell ya mine LOL, really they are cheap enough so as to not
cause any sleepless nights.

If I were you, I'd go get an alignment quick. Let them know what you think happened. When you get the car back and they say "OK, it's good", put a torque wrench on those nuts and make sure they're tightened to spec before you leave.
