Good Street/Strip front spring or coilovers.
Well I searched around a little bit, but it was hard finding exactly what I wanted. Basically right now I have Eibach Prokit lowering springs, and I think the car looks great, but unfortunatly the front springs dont exactly fit well in the spring pockets of the tubular k-member and the oil pan/trans pan/y-pipe are REALLY low and I have to be VERY carful when driving. Its driveable but its kind of been angering me in the back of my mind and I want to correct it. Basically what I am looking for is something that has good manners on the street (which will be most of the time), but still has good weight transfer for the track (I want to yank the front wheels even if a little bit) and to raise it a little bit in the front end to help prevent scraping, but low enough to still look cool. Spohn Drag coilovers would be nice with adjustable height and all, but Im worried about its street manners and durability...not to mention it puts a pretty good size dent in the wallet. If I can find a spring that will raise the front end a small amount (maybe .5-.75"), but is still kind of soft for better weight transfer while not too soft for everyday driving, then I wouldnt mind doing that to save me about $500. I have KYB adj. shocks. I was thinking of just a stock RS V6 spring from Moog but I dont know a ton about front springs. Any suggestions?

Trying to find the best of all worlds
but it wont happen without alot of coin being dropped and even then it will still be a sacrifice.
It's hard to compare durability of any aftermarket part to OEM since in reality the aftermarket parts rarely go the distance of OEM stuff due to vehicle being a toy and not getting the day to day abuse OEM stuff was deisgned for...if you still street drive alot, you'll be better of sticking with factory type springs instead of installing coil overs. If you get a good adjustible coil over, you will wear out internal valving since it will get constant cycling from street abuse.
You could try the V6 springs and cut them to height. When cutting coils it will raise the stiffness somewhat so it might be trial and error initally to get your ride height and proper weight control.

yea I know its impossible to have the best of both worlds, but Im trying! lol. The only thing that keeps me going with the coilovers is the fact that my car does not get much stress when it comes to hard turning. I drive my car prettty tame in the first place, plus my with my rack and pinion I cant really take any turns fast anyway. I think Ill just have to do a little more research with it and see what I come up with.

Well, I did a little research, and it looks like for the most part a nice set of v6 springs will do nicely I think. I still havent ruled out a z28 spring yet, but I cant seem to find a spring rate on here. From what I gather, a v6 front spring, shouldnt raise the car too much, but Im not 100% sure. I do drive the car mostly on the street I dont drive it too many miles because I dont drive it in winter or when it rains and like I said before I cant really drive the thing to wild anyway due to the Rack and Pinon. I still also havent completely ruled out the coilovers, but the price will take up just about all the money I have allowed for the car right now. However, money obviously hasnt stopped me before from getting all the fancy stuff as you can tell
. Any other suggestions or experiences with either v6 front springs, z28 front springs, or spohn coilovers?
