How do I shift my rear axle over 1/2 inch using my lakewood adjustable panhard bar?
My rear axle sits about 1/2 inch from center; over to the driver's side of the car. I have a Lakewood adjustable panhard bar.
What is the easiest way to reposition the axle over to the right about 1/2 inch? How much of the rear end do I need to disconect to make the adjustment?
Thanks for your advice.

I have an adjustable panhard bar. I'm looking for some advice on the procedure. Of course I can turn the end of the bar to shorten it but what is the best way to shift the axle over? Do the LCAs need to be disconected, etc?

I adjust mine on with everything hooked up. Just loosen the jam nuts, adjust until centered, the retiten and lock-tite the jam nuts.

on a lakewood pandhard bar i believe he has to remove the drivers side bolt and turn the whole assembly by hand the desired amount then bolt it back up. I don't think it has two jam nuts and a center piece that can be spun with a wrench.

That's right. One end needs to be disconnected from either the axle or chassis.
So, I disconnect one end of the panhard bar and rotate that end to shorten the bar by about 1/2 inch and then reconnect it. Any tips on getting the bolt holes to line up again after I shorten the bar by 1/2 inch?
Thanks guys.

Jack the rear and support it on the frame in front of the LCA's with the tires hanging. Shorten the bar, and push the rear over to align the hole. A screwdriver in the hole helps to align it once it gets close.

I'm thinking I might need someone's help. It's not going to be easy to shove the axle over and but the bolt back in place while I'm laying on my back under the car.
Maybee I could have someone sit next to the driver side rear tire and push in on it with their feet while I try to put the bolt back in place. Do you think this would be safe enough since the jackstands will be set up under the rear part of the frame?

I had to push on one of my wheels to align the bolt hole. As long as the weight of the car is on the jack stands and the car is supported securely and evenly you shoulda have to worry.
Just give the car a few good shoves before you crawl under there to make sure its secure.
