Will the small dent in this wheel prevent me from running it safely? PICS

Hey I get pics of some wheels from somebody and I was wondering if this dent would prevent me from running without a problem. Thanks a lot, heres a pic.

Is it aluminum? I dont think you will have a safety issue, but there are places who repair aluminum wheels, to make it look nice again.

whatever it is i would try to fix it with a hammer and dolly. if it needed to be filled to look perfect, I would do it and then repaint the wheels to match my car. they are already painted silver from the factory. im finding out if they are aluminum right now. and if they are, if i could use anything to fill them.

i honestly don't think that you will have any issues running them with that little superficial ding.

When i was 17 i was driving down a curvy road at like 10pm. A truck had his brights on and i diped off the road for like 3 secs and hit a large pot hole. Dented the hell out of my rim. I drove it for a few months with the dent and one day i decided to bend it back with a rubber hammer. After i got it strait i put the rim on the car and dident make it 10 ft b4 the tire lost preshure.

You should be fine with that little dent. I wouldent even wory about fixing it, i doubt you will have a sealing problem if you do. No one will ever notice the dent if you dont tell them anyways.

If there is no damage to the inside of the lip where the tire's bead would set against the rim then you're fine. I've run much worse looking.

From what I can see in the picture, it looks like a ZR-1 wheel, which means it's aluminum.

yea its a third gen offset zr1 wheel. i didnt want anyone else to know cause i dont want people to find it for sale. its at a great price right now because of that. i wanted the rims but they were a little much for my price range, but this seems like a great opportunity for me to get them. i was also thinking of just getting the regular silver ones (like these) and painting them to some other color. i was thinking of color matching it by making it gunmetal. could i go ahead and put glaze or poly flex in this if i scratch it up first and paint over that? maybe use something else to fill it so i could paint it and have it look good. im actually not as worried now about it being safe as i am about it looking good. so basically, what can i fill aluminum with, if anything.

As long as you don't see any cracking it should be fine. Just sand off any burs so you you don't damage the tire.
