formula rear springs removal..help

Hello all,
I have a 1989 Firebird and would like some pointers on how to remove and install the rear springs? Any information will be greatly apprecated.

Thanks
Brad

put the car on stands and put a jack under the center of the rear. Take the bottom shock nuts off and lower the rear down. The springs will fall out

When you reinstall them, or the new ones, make certain the rubber spacers that go on the top of the springs fit the top coil correctly. Basically, they fit one way, and are formed to the top coil.

On the frame rails, in front of where the control arm bolts to the rail.

It's not *quite* as easy as written (when is it??)

when after unbolting your rear shocks, and lowering the axle with your jack, the LCA's should rotate, but you'll have to watch your TA. Once you have the axle as far down as possible, you should be able to yank the springs out. Not a ton of force, but mine didn't 'fall out' that easily.
