Cross bolted stock LCA

First I want to apologize for not having a pic.I have no way to up load one.
That said I have a question on the stock rear LCA's on my '83 Z28.I've been working under her and noticed both LCA's are cross bolted in 2 places on each one.If you divided the bar in 1/4's from the bushings that's roughly how these are mounted. My questions are;1)Are cross bolted LCA's a Z28 only item,2)a V8 item or 3) could these be some type of aftermarket part?
My car also has the triangle braces up front attached to the "K" member. From what I've read these aren't really common(or am I mistaken or misunderstanding what I'm reading). There's also a vertical triangle brace mounted in the same area. But this looks more to be for body support. Also when I was mounting my TDS steering brace, many thankyou's Lon,the 3rd holes on either side already had bolts in them.
I'm just curious is what I'm finding common to all Z28's or are these parts part of another hadnling package?

First of all, cross bolted?
Do you mean with the little brace in the center like this one has?

Yep, that is why I don't need to supply any mounting bolts with the steering brace. Some customers from rust-belt States order new bolts to replace their old ones. Those existing bolts mount the bracket that the sway bar bushings install on. Just remove those bolts and install the steering brace with them.

Sonix thankyou for posting the pic. That's exactly what I mean. What would be the proper term for it?Only difference is the ones on my '83 appear to be longer.I'm guessing this was GM's attempt to reinforce the LCA's.Do you know if this was just a Z28(maybe T/A also),for all V8 cars or did all 3rd Gens have them(obviously I haven't been under to many since I've had mine). Both sides are like this.I know on my '70 Monte Carlo SS454 the LCA's were boxed. This was one of the specific items on them not shared with other Monte Carlos(or SB and the majority of BB powered A-bodies).

That's where I'm lucky Lon.My '83 has zero rust except for surface rust. And I must thankyou again for the great service and an excellent quality part. The Raw Steel color adds just a custom touch without really standing out.

My 84Z had those brackets too.I believe though, these LCAs are also the same for el caminos/monte carlos & that body style(G i think).Anyway thats where the sway bar mounts to on the G-bodies.Later year F-bodies didnt have the bracket just the holes.

I didn't realize the LCA's interchanged between the 3rd gen F-body and the G-bodies.But what you're saying makes sense. My brother has a '85 Choo-Choo Camino and that's exactly where the rear sway bar mounts(and on my nephew's '87 Monte SS).GM dropped the rear drive "G" in mid '88 so no more need for the extra expense of 4 bolts/nuts and 2 little brackets.Even though it was beneficial to the F-body's(at least it was better than nothing)LCAs to have them.

Now this might be a stupid question but which is the better way to mount the sway - F-body or G-body?Does having the end link mount to the body make the sway bar more responsive or would there be any more benefit using the LCA's as thier mounting points?

Im pretty sure that what they're for.If you lok at aftermarket LCAs(like Hotchkis/edelbrock).Even those LCAs have them & the application is the same for g/f-bobies.

I beleive that those spacers were used on G-Bodies cause the rear sway bar mounts to the rear lower LCA's. Oh Yeah, G/F Bodies share the lower LCA's.
