idler, pitman and centre link questions
idler, pitman and centre link questions
I'm in the process of re-installing my new front end parts and have come to a minor stump..
In my '91 camaro manual the bolts that attach the idler and pitman to the center link do not use a cotter pin - this is also what I took apart - the components did not use the cotter pin, yet the new parts that I purchased from NAPA came with bolts that use the cotter pin. Which should I use? The old bolts or the new ones that include the cotter pins? One other question. The torque specs for the idler and the pitman to center link - are both cranked to 35lbs or does the pitman get crank to 40lbs and the idler to 35lbs?
Thx
Andrew

Thxs Jza,
In my gm manual the torque specs are the same - 35lbs for both, but in the Haynes there is a 35lbs rating for the idler, and a 40lbs for the pitman..
