A question for those of you with any expierience with Sub frame connectors
I'm looking at a set for the 87 GTA. I prefer the weld in ones. The Two I was looking at were from Competition Engineering, and SPOHN.
Competition Engineering: There install manual mentions cutting the floor pan. Do I really need to do this? I dont want to be cutting anything.
SPOHN: There website does not mention anything about cutting floor pans. Plus they have the lateral support as well. There $100.00 more. If that will save me from cutting floors I'd go that root.
Do any of you have either of those products? What are your thoughts on them?
Thanks

There are too many available products which do not require modification. Spohn makes a great product. I'm running the Global West weld-in version--no cutting.

i liked the jegs brand bolt ins. first i bolted them in, then welded them in, this allows for a larger area to be welded to the floorpan due to the bolt in brackets being larger. Pretty nice setup and good price as well.
skip the CE's. They're a piece of 2x2 box tubing with a plate welded on one end. Total cost of build and design....about $25.
- Since you're faint of heart(no cutting) all the above mentioned by everyone else.

Since when has Spohn offered a bolt-on SFC? Perhaps you're referring to the Alston SFC's I sell which can be bolted on or welded?

Spohn here, fit very well except where the PO jacked up the car on the pinch weld (idiot).
No cutting involved.
