Air Ride CoolRide suspension on a 3rd Gen?

I've been thinking about saving up for this suspenson setup since for starters I can get it for about $650 (front and rear) and it'd be nice to get my car to handle better than it already does. Does anyone have this setup on their third gen that can give me opinions on it? If I can only buy one at a time, would it be better to get the front or the rear first?

Just so you know that 650 that you are planning to spend will double when you purchase a compressor. When I was planning this as well, I was so surprised on how cheap it was. Little did I know it came with everything but the compressor. If, somehow, you are getting EVERYTHING for 650 let us know how and where because I would jump on that like flies on ****!

I'm not getting the compressor and selenoids and all that, partly because I don't want all that and don't need it either. I called Air Ride and they said that I just need to buy 4 inflation valves and the air hose and it'll be good to go.

it is a good kit, probably the best kit out...

i'm gonna do what your doing this winter i think, and then purchace a compressor sometime during the summer of '07..

i don't think it would really matter which one you got first if you want to buy them seperate...i would probably do the rears first myself...

How do the car really handle with these kits? Will one get the option off stiff versus soft springage in these? I'm just very curious if this is any way to go if one wants performance handling or not...

so what all comes with the kit? does it replace just the springs or springs and shocks? that would be pretty cool and just have some air nozzles all together in the hatch area. i wish i would have known about that b4 i redid all my suspension. ive got about $500 in mine.

i believe the front comes with shocks, not sure about the back tho...

you have 500 into just the springs and shocks? because if you have money into like a panhard bar, torque arm, control arms, you can still use them, and they will help that much more...

no i have about $500 in springs and shocks. i have $200 intrax springs and the struts were $130-150 for the front and the shocks for the back were about $75-90. so i would have definitely done the air suspension... i was unaware that you could get it for that cheap with out the compressor.

how are you going to inflate and deflate the bags without solenoids and a compressor?

I would do a google advanced search for more info here. There are guys here running airbags and there is ALOT of information in their posts but the search function is broken so google is the best bet. Just go advanced search, specify thirdgen.org in the domain field and type in the search terms.
