Lowering Springs

I ran across a guy who has lowering springs for sale, says it will drop the car about 1.5 inches all the way around. His car was wrecked and he pulled them off to sell. Any feedback?

i got the eibach sportlines on mine 1.6" in the front, 1.3" in the back, i think the fronts still need time to settle, but it looks good IMO.

I'm not sure what the brand name is for this set up, but he wants $200 for springs, struts and rotors. The springs were in the car for three months before he got rear ended. Does the price sound right?

are the rotors anything special, why are you buying them used.

you know what kind of struts they are, and are they used little also?

depending what kind of springs they are dropzone, intrax, eibach, etc. they cost new starting at 125

I don't need the rotors, he is just throwing them in. Yes, the struts are also three months old and I don't yet know what kind they are. It seems like 200 may be high, especially if they are not "name" products. I'll take a look at them tomorrow.

I have taken a look through many posts and have learned a few of the name brands. I feel a bit more prepared to discuss this with him tomorrow.

I'll probably make a substantially lower offer that what he named. We'll see.

Thanks

OK, here is the final. I looked at the springs, they were Jamex, the struts were JBK and they all looked to be the age he mentioned (three months). The reason the rotors were included is that the struts were still mounted to the rotors, including calipers etc. So, I guess I have a spare set of front brakes unless any of you need them.

I paid $160.00. I'm not sure how good the price is, but it is what it is at this point. I wouldn't mind your feedback.

cant go wrong for aftermarket parts with low mileage for so cheap. to be honest never heard of those brands, have you tried looking up the brands and see what the specs are?

I found the brand names on internet, the spring manufacturer seems to do a lot of import manufacturing. The struts are also available and seem to be decently known. My only problem now is that as I was checking things out, I saw that most companies say "except convertibles" and of course I have a convertible. I have a post in the convertible message board asking about the difference. I am hoping I can use these, but I have some research to do.
