For a 1" drop, do I need the adjustable panhard bar?

I've had the Suspension Techniques with a 1" drop on the car for a few years now. I've just discovered through searching (Probably should have one that eons ago) that most of you have the Adjustable Panhard bar. Is there really required for just a 1" drop? As I mentione, I've been on these springs for a few years and notice no ill effects.

Thanks

Apparently dropping the car moves the rear end over a bit; recentering the rear is the panhard's job.

i needed one for my prokit. the front dropped nearly 2inch and the rear was like 1 inch drop. it moved the rear end out about 1/2-3/4 inch or so but it was noticeable. panhard bar pulled it right back.

In theory you should need an adjustable PHB after your 1" suspension drop. In reality it isn't always the case. Be aware that the 1" advertised drop is based on new OEM springs (which yours aren't), so your drop will likely be a lot less. In my case I installed Eibach Pro-Kit springs on my 90 RS convertible. After the swap I used a plumb line on the edge of the fender to the center of the rim and had a 1/16" difference side-to-side. So in my case I didn't need an adjustable PHB. I'd wait on deciding to order an adjustable PHB until after you've done the swap and measured. Theory and actual results don't always match up.

Thanks for all the help. Just to clarify, my springs (Suspension Techniques) are a 1" drop from the stock spring.

Measure the fender lip to ground before and after. Don't be surprised if the drop is less than 1". You can do a SEARCH and find a lot of complaints from people that didn't get the drop they were expecting. many resorted to cutting the spring or leaving out the upper spring isolator. Of course we're straying a bit from the original topic, which was will you need an adjustable PHB.

I Just measured from the lip to the center cap and had the same measurement on both sides with the stock panhard. I guess I don't need another one....which is a good thing.
