Rear Sway Bar Bushings

Hi,
I was looking into replacing the rear sway bar bushings on a 2.8L Firebird. On the sites I looked at they quote four sway bar sizes between 19mm and 24mm. I measured the stock sway bar on my car last night and it is 12mm diameter. Did GM fit different sway bar sizes on the various models of Firebirds and Camaros.

Thanks.

Yes. I've never heard of a 12mm.

Are they common on GM cars do you know. Are they readily available.

Thanks.

Every GM car with sway bars will have the bushings. Yes, they should be readily available.

Gholian, are you sure that your rear sway bar maesured 12mm, that seems exceedingly small. I've never heard of one for third-gen that's under 19mm, but then again, I'm more famliar with 85-up, not 82 like you have. Did you measure the center of the bar, or a corner. The corners may give you a false measurement because the diameter is smaller there.
