Worn out '85 IROC?

I was wondering what I should do to help bring back some spunk into my IROC. It has 150,000 miles (although high, i'm not sure if thats the average mileage most people have for a 21 year old car).

I'd like to do all the bushings, drivetrain/powertrain mounts, subframe connectors, etc..

Does anybody have any suggestions?

I found no sticky or relevant thread on this topic.

sway bar link bushing runs for like 20bux in local autozone.
as far as i know, thats one of the easiest bushing to replace.

I'd start from there.. and maybe control arm bushing etc etc if u know how(caz i dont

Decide what you want the car to be: a comfortable riding daily driver, a canyon carver, or a strip car and "plan" accordingly. In any case, SFC's are a must.

A strut/shock tower brace also helps a bunch.

Here's what I did to canyon carve and to keep the 'sleeper' look (maybe provide you with some ideas about which direction you'd like to go):

350 HO Deluxe (350ci/330hp), GM lightweight flywheel, CenterForce II clutch kit, Hooker headers, Catco hi-flow cat, Hooker cat-back with OEM tail pipes, GM dual electric fans, OEM T5 with B&M Ripper short-throw and Hammer shifter, Energy Suspension motor, tranny, secondary crossmember, torque arm, bump stops, and tie-rod boots, Prothane A-arm bushings, Global West steering box brace and subframe connectors, Hotchkis tie-rod sleeves, Spohn 1LE front brake kit, PBR rears, Earl's braided-steel brake lines, 1LE sway bars with GM poly end links and Top-Down Solutions greaseable 36mm front and Energy Suspension greaseable 24mm rear bushings, 1LE aluminum drive shaft, Edelbrock torque arm, Spohn lower control arms and panhard, Summit differential cover, OEM 10-bolt with limited slip and 3.23’s.

Some other stuff: aluminum space-saver spare. Lear/Seigler Conteur driver’s seat, overhead console, 145 mph speedo and 5500 red-line tach, MBA billet pedals, Alpine CD player and Kenwood speakers, Grant Signature Series steering wheel with black billet sleeve and silver 'Camaro' horn button, and **** mirror (auto dimming, temp, compass). Sylvania Silverstars. Propart clear side markers.

Future: Spohn tubular a-arms, new OEM springs, Koni reds all around, spherical strut towers, and eventually a STB (for carbed cars with A/C on the driver's side)
