Changing Springs & Struts -- Advice?

Hey guys, I want to change the springs and struts in my 89' Camaro. I don't know when they have been changed out, but my car is sitting pretty low to the ground... I will just assume the struts (front and rear) have never been changed, and I will assume the springs have never been changed.

Recommend me springs and struts for my 2.8L v6 1989 Camaro please

Varying in price range -- No, I do not plan on putting a v8 in this car. That is what my next project car will be for.

Thanks,
ScottieB

No, I don't plan on racing, souping it up or any of that stuff... again, the project car will be for that This is my daily driver.

monroe sens-a-trac struts are nice, as to the springs, there are alot of very nice aftermarket variable rate springs that give a nice ride/handling combination.. not sure of price on the springs, struts aren't too bad.. around 60 each from what I remember

moog 5662 for the front, is the z28 "stiff" ride style
moog 5660 IIRC, is the RS style, softer ones. I'd go with that, if you're not into racing or anything, and don't want to use a hemmorhoid donut while you drive
(I use the 5664's, just as a side note, the stiffest ones moog makes that fit in there... nice!)

5665 or cc635 are for the back. The cc635 is a cargo coil, so it's a variable rate. I think it'll make the rear sit higher, when there's no weight in the back. This is usually the stock rear spring though. The 5665 is also a stock one, just not variable rate.

KYB's is what i'd recommend for shocks. Gabriels or monroes would work too, try and get a set that come with a warantee, and keep the receipt.

For the slight difference in cash, the KYB GR2's are decent shocks.

Eibach's and Bilstein's if a driver.

Others get more expensive if its a toy or weekend autocrosser.

Which shocks/struts

I love the KYB's in mine, and I HAVE a v-8. The make it handle great, but give you enough cush to survive the bumps. (the roads ain't great where I am!)
