Where did you put the smaller passenger side piece when installing Spohn SFCs?

I was at my cousin's shop today and we were working to install my Spohn SFCs. Everything was going smoothly but we couldn't come up with an obvious location to put the smaller T-piece on the passenger side. The cat always seemed to get in the way and even if there was no cat there was no obvious location. Is it okay to go diagonally? How much contact must be made between the smaller pipe and the main SFC shaft? Is just one small weld on the top of the main shaft sufficient?

Yes, thats the one. I've seen that pic but I cant really tell how its attached on the right side of the pic. Is it just that one tack between the sections of pipe?

Hmm, that doesnt look like a very strong Y brace weld there. But that is from Spohn's website, so I guess thats how it goes.

Looks like it's only welded on the one end a little bit, maybe out of site it's welded to the floor pan a little too.

My cat is really close and would likely touch the tube if I put it there. Should I worry about the cat transferring heat through the SFC to the floor pan and melting the carpet/starting a fire?

It won't transfer that much heat

I heated mine up and bent it so I could get a solid weld to the connector and still clear the cat.
