I want 20's on My GTA
Hey Guys
Anyone running 20's on their car?
I was thinking a 20x10 with a 285/30/20 for the rear
19x8 with a 255/35/19 for the front
Wasnt able to find alot of options for rims, this is what i have narrowed it down to, available in chrome or grey (polished)
Any chance of someone being able to photoshop these rims into a burgandy GTA

ive seen a few down here in socal they look pretty sweet. although of course it wont perform as well but if u only want it for aesthetics then go for it.. its your car. Ive seen a sunburst orange 4th gen T.A around here with 20's and man it looks killer. the car is gonna feel way heavier but like i said, if its for cruising and w.e then do it man.

I will be doing the same to my car sometime in August. I'm just trying to find the right look. I know another guy here on the site has a 19/20 combo and it looks real good. Your best bet though is to find a tire & wheel combo that is close to the overall diameter of your current setup so you can avoid any rubbing.

It could be done, as stated, you'll have to run a tire approxiamtely the same height & width as factory to keep it from rubbing. This means very little sidewall which will make for a very stiff/rough ride and make it very easy to bend a wheel. The biggest negative is the loss in performance. That large of wheel is heavy and most are cast, meaning very heavy which translates to a lot of centerifical weight. Many GTA's came with a aluminum driveshaft, which was considered a performace option. - If the weight of a 3" ds makes a difference in centerifical weight, just imagine what wheels do....
Looks wise...to each his own. Personally I think they're too large for the wheel well, so they don't look right on the car.....The arc of the wheel is larger than the arc of the wheel well, just doesn't fit.....

There is a guy on here that has 19& 20" combo. I belive his screen name is shawn18jgr.
I am not to worried about weight wise, not just doing it for cosmetic reason either. The car is gonna get supercharged, with maybe a 400 small block so i am not to worried about horespower. Its a street car, a fast one.

You want black rims with polished lips. CCW classics or similar forglines. Maybe work wheels...they have a crosslace style look to them.
here are a few to ponder buy will still keep with the gta's style..

Thats because most of them are true 2 or 3 piece wheels...though im sure you could get them with the studs painted to match the center so they wouldnt stand out as much

The rivets are the best thing about the wheels. Like was said above the wheels that have real rivets are a usually 3 piece wheels, and that establishes that you spent a sh*t load on your rims! Dudes with half a** cars are not going to drop that kind of dough on 3 piece wheels, so if you have them to me it means that your car is serious without even knowing much about it other than the wheels are dope.

you say highway fun but your going to put heavy tires on think about it? put bigger brakes on it thats find i dont think it will help all that much! good luck but i still think your ruining a good car just go DUB CITY on it. just my 2 cents.
^^^ those are a lot like my Blaster 5's, but mine are 17".
- I will note that lighter wheels can be had while going larger diameter, but I don't think you'll see lighter than factory at over 17" my 17x11 billets and the 315/35/17 nittos weigh the same as the factory wheel and 255/50/60 kumho that I took off. My fronts are lighter.
No matter highway speed or drag race, more centerifical weight still requires more power to accelerate. It may take less power to maintain, but always more to accel and more to stop.
..yeah, because 100+ mph freeway runs are soo safe/legal....reminds me why I want my g/f in a larger truck.....

Who cares about hooking it for highway fun

Thanks for the new updated background of your car!
his car does look good. - What/whose wheels are those? They look a lot like my coddingtons'.
- still not trading in my 17's, just giving a compliment where its due.
