strut tower brace?

I have a '84 T/A (carb) and I can not find a strur tower brace anywhere. If I had EFI there would be no problem, but I do not. I would even be happy making one myself. If anyone has knowledge on making one or where to purchase a bracket that will fit...... Your help would be appreciated.

Here you go, I believe this was home made. It is a piece of tubular steel with flat pieces welded on the ends, it then bolts to the strut tower via holes drilled into the strut tower.

He could if the car is a non-AC car or if the AC has been removed. Apparently, the AC bracket gets in the way, which is why I'm not using one on my 85.

from what understand the A/C bracket can me ground allitle where it gets in the way, I just got done putting the STB in my car (well the brackets at least...I can't permanatly install the brace W/ the engine out...I did put a mockup plastic engine in to see how everything would fit) and it looks like it will fit fine, or mabe just touch the A/C bracket, which can be easaly modded W/ a grinder

I'd be interested to know if you succeed.

hey, thanx for the picture Iron Duke. If I mfg. one this will come in handy! I have deleted all my A/C under the hood. I also changed the heater box to a non-a/c model, I can actually see the entire passenger side of the engine. I cut the ac/ps bracket so it still holds the p/s pump. does this mean I can use a brace for a TBI model? As far as I know the braces for the tuned port models sit further back towards the firewall, it would go thru the carb.
