Spring & strut recomendation - Yes I've already searched!

I have spent two days searching this forum and have found a vast amount of info. I do have a few questions though.....

Car: 1985 IROC-Z that's had too many huge woofer boxes and drages its butt like a dog on wet grass.

1) I want to stay with the stock ride height. Is there any benefit to buying Eaton or Moog IROC springs? Has anyone had good or bad experiences with either? Are there any other stock height IROC springs I should consider?

2) I currently have older Monroe Formula GP's that have very few miles and are in good shape; however, I don't like their ride characteristics. They are excellent on smooth surfaces and handle pretty hard cornering well, but if you hit driving braile, city ******* or lane buttons (what ever you call them) it's like you have twin jack hammers installed under the hood. Which premium strut/shock will provide the best ride comfort? Bilstein, KYB ....

Any input will certainly be appreciated!

As a side note (I'm interested too), the Moog "IROC style" springs are $125 a set; the Eaton OEM type are $300, IIRC.
