Fix for manual rack steering radius?

As the title states, is there a solution to the decreased steering radius when installing a manual rack? I love the feel of the rack and it is pretty easy to turn with skinnies on the front. The problem is that the damn thing can't turn worth a
s**t! I have tried searching, I heard Profab was working on something-but I think they went out of business.
Is there a solution to this, race struts maybe?

From what I know the problem lies in the way the tie rods connect to the spindle the arm they fit into on the spindle is too long and is what causes the bad radius issue this could be solved with a rack with a longer push pull length but It doesent exist and I dont think the mechanics of it are possible

The other way to fix it is to shorten the linkage arm on the spindle IIRC but that requires welding cast iron which is very difficult from what I hear

Formula I understand the 4th gen spindles have arms that are about 3" shorter then the 3rd gen. This is what increases the travel thus decreasing turning radius. I do not want to weld the spindles but I thought there might be a race type spindle that would bolt up to our cars.

This rack has enough travel for 3rdgen style spindles. It has the 6 inchs of travel needed.
Cobra / MGB Manual Rack & Pinion

Making it work? Your on your own.

How much travel do the other racks have that usually come w/k-member kits?

Don't know, you'll have to ask.

Then how do you know the flaming river rack will work? Do you know someone using that rack? From the picture it looks the same as the rack that came w/my PA racing k-member.

Because it has the same travel as our steering linkage, which about 6 inches.

Have you actually measured the travel or are you just recycling **** you have heard from other people. The fact is no one else has found a solution, yet you seem to have it all figured out. Do you even have a rack in your car?

I just threw it out there as an idea. If it's no good, then it's no good. Relax buddy.

it is listed to have approx 6" of travel, thus it is deffinitly a possible solution. The only other solution would be modded/custom spindles with a shorter steering arm. - These cars were not designed for a rack, thus will take some custom work/modification to fit one and make it work proper.

I will be running a mid 80's t-bird power rack. I'm looking into building a plate that attaches SOLIDLY to the spindle and allowing me to move the tie-rod mount point closer to hub center. - Modding a steering system is a life or death mod. You can't just throw something together.
