better setup for drag racing???

alright i started with a bone stock 89 rs 2.8 car.well i had goten a totaled 1LE car.so i swaped over the front struts/spindles/brakes/swaybar/wonerbar,and custom stb(stock v6 springs),and replaced all the bushings with poly ones.in the rear i did poly bushings the 1le swaybar,1le springs,3 way adj ce enginering drag shocks, relocation brackets, and boxed control arms.

this setup is great for the street car loves corners, but my 60' drag times are suffering horribly. 2.3-2.5's on street tires 2.1-2.2's on slicks.

i dont want an all out drag setup cause this is a daily driver,so id like some sort of middle ground with the suspension.
any suggestions ?
also ive thought about ditching the tq arm and going with an adjustable 3 link lca's.anyone use this type of setup,do they work well? does street handling suffer alot with this type of setup?

Hey...

3-link LCA's? Who makes those? Lakewood?

I met a dude who had a 96 Z28 with Bilsteins and Eibach springs (the car was lowered but I dont know which series of springs he had). He told me that all he did was unbolt his sway bar and bolt on a set of slicks when he went to the track. He says that the car hooked well. I didnt ask his 60ft times though. But, he MAY have been blowing smoke up my rear, for all I know. I did witness his car hook and lift the front end up (not the tires though) on the street. Thats when I asked him about his set-up.

Talk to 383backinblack. His set up is surprising.

Ultimately, I believe that you can build the car for both. The more you build it for handling, the less it will hook at the track. The more you build it for drag, the less it will handle. Dont forget that.

I went 1.87 on street 245/50/16's on stock suspension, 1.7X's with suspension, and now 1.66 with 315/35/17 drag radials. - All factory lay out suspension. - Ditching the front sway bar can help launch, but I've still got mine(WS6 even).

2.1's with slicks? Somethings not right. Start simple. Replace ALL bushings, play with the lca mounting point, check the pinion angle.
