I'm in the same boat, except that 1" would be about the minimum, I'd prefer 1.5", maybe even 2". (I've got a fairly noticeable wheel gap that I'd really like to close, plus it would be better in an aerodynamic sense.)

Until seeing this thread, I figured that the only way to close the gap would be to cut the coils, but now I'm going to see if that chart might have something that'll work - that's gotta be better than screwing the spring rate up by cutting the springs...

If I don't see anything there, I'll contact a few of the spring mfr's, & see what they suggest.

eibach has springs for both 1 an 2 inch im running 2 inch its a rough ride and you will have to deal with alittle more bump steer but youll giggle like a little kid on the off ramps when tryin to keep your head off the glass dont bother cutting they are 20 plus years old an wore out

spoon makes a part to help correct the bump steer issue for aggressive street driving i think it does a great job although at the race track you will have to dig deeper it is something that all third gens have from the start or any that i have drove. like i said though i started like you wanting the look and just keep getting deeper an deeper lol
