Strut tower brace for TPI Firebirds
Anyone know who makes one that actually fits AND clears the stock hood? I tried to get an Edelbrock 3 point to fit and even with the crossbar sitting on top of the TPI it still kept the hood from closing. I'd like a 3 point but at this point I'm considering something custom fabbed. Maybe something like the Hotchkis piece for V6 and SS Camaros that connects the towers to the cowl but doesn't cross over the intake until almost at the cowl area. Any thoughts?

I know the firebirds have a lower hood line.
Extreem...but..Maybe you could notch the brace just over the tpi plenum to drop it down some. A 1/4 might be all you need and still keep the strength of it.
Try pulling the brace forward on the strut towers as far as you can. the plenum slopes down on tb side you can drop it down more the closer to the tb you get. But you can only go so far.
Maybe get rid of the under hood insulation if you still have it. Run the cowl braces under the tower brace. You can even file the bolt heads if needed.
It fit fine on my camaro even with the SuperRam with a little adjusting.
