88 TA 16" wheels front and back might be reversed

I am new at this eposting but here goes. I have just purchased new tires for my 88 TA and notice some front end jitter while driving. While going through some shop manuals I notice that the front and back 16" alum. wheels have different offsets. A new one for me, since I have owned this car from day one. But looking at the rims I can notice that the profiles are different between the front and back tires. I think the tire shop put the wrong wheels from front to back. Does anyone know which offset goes in the front and back. Right now the front wheel looks like it has more distance from the hub to rim first contour. Any help would be appreciated.

The simple thing to do is to check the wheels. The front rims should be marked as 'front' on the inside of the wheel (the word is cast into the wheel) - same goes with the rears - look on the inside of wheel.

Thanks Andrew for the help, I will bring it back tomorrow for them to check. I glad it was so simple.

Thanks again,
Jim
