Quick ratio gear box
Ok, I thought the IROC's and some Z28's came with the quick ration gear box that had a "Z" stamped on it. I was at the the junkyard this weekend picking around the camaros and there were base model V6's with the supposed "Z" stamped gear box. I have also heard that the true quick ratio boxes have the aluminum cover on the top and the standard have the steel cover. I am confused as to what is true. Does anybody have the actual RPO code for the quick steering option?

My car had a quick ratio steering box but it doesn't have a specific code for it. I think the quick ratio box is part of an option code like the Z28, 1HV, WS6, 1LE, handling package. One code includes a bunch of options.
