Slicks for 15x7 rims

What size slick can I get away with a 15x7 rim that will look good on the car with out jacking the car up?

255 60 15 will fit on a 7" and will be 0.8" taller than a stock tire. 275 will be too wide for 7" (not recommended by tire manf.)

Are you looking for a DOT slick, Full slick, or drag radial?

When we first started racing we all had stock wheels (7") and ran the Hoosier quick time pro 27x11.5x15's and they looked/worked great.

Just looking for a dot slick. I wont be going to the track much but I want to make sure I hook up on the street. I am pushing around 400 hp.

Either the 27 or 28" tires I suggested will work perfectly for you then. When I was only running low 13's/high 12's and racing only 1 track and 1 class a set of those tires would last a season-street driving included. Hooking on the street is not a problem either

CLICK HERE and scroll down a bit. I have many pictures, but I think is what will give you a better idea of how they look/fit with a 10" rim. I went through some of my other photo's of all our cars at different events and could not find any that showed what these same tires I run look like on an 8" rim with any quality for reference.
