stuck driving the cam for the winter.

yea, i know, its dumb and it sucks. do you guys have any ideas to help me out with better traction, snow tires are coming, but what else could i do? i have a system that weights about 80 lbs with the box and subs. but still not enough traction in the snow. if i lower the psi in the tires will that give me better bite or will that produce to much drag? also, what size snow tires should i run on 14 inch rims? i wont be driving this car all winter( its almost over anyways.haha) . i just gotta wait to get a fuel pump for the s10 blazer. i cant just stop driving all together because i got work and couldnt afford to miss it. i was thinking about using my old tires and screwing screws into them. but they wouldnt hold any air, they might, somthing i might have to try, aha.also is there anyway i can limit how much power goes to the wheels when i tap the gas? maybe remove some plug wires but that would damage some stuff im sure. i do fine if i creep(just let off the gas), but as soon as i barely touch it i spin. its just a open diff now, but in the snow both tires spin....any help is greatly appreciated!

Anthony

And be careful on the on-ramps. Just yesterday, I saw a poor import driver's back end slide out going up a curved uphill ramp. He went over the edge

I put two(2) sand tubes in my rear hatch. Three is too many in my opinion. I had a lot trouble stopping with all three.

I'll also put it in 1st gear when turning left from a stop. The 1-2 shift ALWAYS happends in the middle of the turn and the rear end will break loose. Once I complete the turn, I put it back in drive.

I was just going to say, sandbags. Throw some weight over your diff and throw on some snow tires, and don't drive like it's july.
You can get studded tires, but you can't really stud them yourself I don't think (unless you have a tire machine to pull the rubber off the wheels, and know how to stud a tire...)
An open diff is a joke no matter what, hard to get around that.

I have found having my balist in the back seat insted of the "trunk" gave me better handling. just an idea, but invest in the snow tires
